Last year, Nwe Ni Win won the award for making the most improvement in the quality of her work. She also amazed us with her courage and stamina cycling 25 mins to work and dodging the hazards of the Dala morning rush hour. However, the combination of relying on her arm to cycle to work: cutting the cards and then returning home to help her mother do the washing and housework meant, before long, she developed a repetitive strain injury. Learning to balance life to make work sustainable is an ongoing challenge. Nwe Ni Win now comes on a motorbike taxi and through varying the work she does her arm is slowly improving.
